The Bromham Community Hub ideally needs two Cleaning staff to work as a coordinated team with a weekly routine of shared hours to be agreed with the successful candidates.This is intended to allow flexibility for holidays and sickness cover. Applications are also welcome from a cleaning company, or from self-employed individuals, as well as our offer of BCH employed status.

The job will involve ensuring all parts of the brand new Bromham Community Hub building are clean and ready for each day, by carrying out cleaning duties for approximately one hour in total each morning Mon- Sat along with some room setting up. We prefer the work to be completed before 9am when the booked sessions begin in the hall, and before the café opens. However, it could be possible to agree some evening work times, after last hires/café closes, to make sure our building is always clean and ready for the next day.

Some of the time within the hours will be paid for setting out and clearing away the tables and chairs we provide for booked events. Chair and table trolleys are provided.

There is the opportunity for further occasional cleaning hours by arrangement at weekends following pre booked events. Anyone who wishes to be considered for only weekend working on an event ‘call out’ basis are very welcome to provide us with their details.

Full training, a DBS check and protective clothing will be provided. All cleaning materials and equipment will be provided.

Cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential. However. a willingness to learn the requirements of the cleaning processes needed in our new building and learning about handling cleaning products in a way that meets the requirements of the “Control of Substances Hazardous to Health” (COSHH) is essential.

You will be responsible for site care, cleanliness and hygiene, by working as part of our team serving the community of Bromham. You will be self motivated, take responsibility for the standard of your work and be able to work independently.
