“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members” - Coretta Scott King

It could not have been done without you.

While it is true that the lion’s share of the funds was received via grants and awards from very generous organisations, it cannot be overstated how important every single contribution from the local community has been.

This list is, by no means, exhaustive, but it is a start in making mention of all of the people of our community who came together to get this incredible project done.

There were anonymous donations, personal donations from our residents such as Dennis Powney, local businesses like Phil Dyke and his incredible team, Active Plumbing and Windermere Stone, local organisations such as the Wednesday Club, the Bromham Carnival, the funding received in the early days of the Clubhouse Cafe, right up to every single raffle ticket, brick, paver and donation of goods. There were also many hundreds, if not thousands of hours of time given freely by the teams of people working together to deliver this building and who are now working hard to provide the services you’ve asked for. They won’t all come in one go, but they will come.

Thank you to everyone. What a blessed village we are.
