The Heartbeat of Bromham: Celebrating Our 3-Month Anniversary
It really is a staggering achievement! To think that just 90 days ago, the village was buzzing with the excitement of a Royal visit from Queen Camilla, and now, the Hub has become the undeniable heartbeat of Bromham.
It’s one thing to build a beautiful building; it’s another thing entirely to breathe life into it. The way the community has embraced everything from the Official Royal Opening to the recent Open Mic Night shows that this wasn't just a project—it was a necessity.
The sheer variety of groups now calling the Hub home is what makes it so special. The Monday Club, Bromham WI, Gardening Club, the Stitchers, Rendezvous, Bromham Ladies, and many others all now meet regularly at the Hub ensuring that the village’s history remains part of its future.
With major events like the Pudding Run, The Carnival Quiz, Halloween celebrations, Christmas Makers Market, Bingo, and that fabulous New Year’s Eve party, we have clearly set a high bar for future village functions.
The "Owl in the Hub" Cafe seems to have become our secret weapon though! A successful cafe provides the "social glue" that turns a visit to the Hub from a planned event into a daily habit and more and more people from far and wide to local villagers are making weekly Owl visits a regular occurrence.
A Round of Applause for the "Engine Room"
While the events get the headlines, the real effort is happening behind the scenes.
A huge congratulations must go to the Trustees and the Management Committee for all of their hard work, but especially to the army of volunteers. From the people planning and preparing individual events to those setting up chairs for the various meetings, they are the ones who make the Hub feel like a home rather than just a venue.
Looking Ahead to the Spring
If the first three months were about "settling in" and finding our way, then the next three months will likely be about “continuing to grow" and hopefully going from strength to strength. With the days getting longer, the Hub is really going to come into it’s own with more events and functions.
